Poop Mouth

Ok, I know the title of this post is TOTALLY inappropriate but it is the first thing that came to mind and I am sticking with it.

So Pearson was sick at the beginning of this week. Despite me thinking he has been a total wuss with this whole illness, he has been legitimately sick with a fever. On Tuesday, Pearson had to peel himself out of our bed to do the final 30 minutes of bed time - the kids were already bathed and in their PJ's, he just had to play and put them - because I had to go to a meeting for Mae's coop. Right before walking out the door, I walked into our bedroom to grab something. That was when I noticed the thermometer in our bed. Not the normal ear thermometer that I use to check the kids temperature but THE thermometer. I instantly started laughing and went into the kid's room. I held it up [laughing so hard] and asked Pearson if he had used it. He just looked at me and said something to the effect, "Don't even tell me that is the thermometer we have stuck up the kid's butts." All I could do was laugh in response.

Probably not the right response to give back to a sick man but it felt so good to laugh and laugh. This parenting thing requires the laughter, even at the expense of your spouse some times.
