Mae Monday

A few weeks ago, Mae was working on a coloring book that was given to her at the firehouse. One page [above] made you circle the picture on a line that was fire hazard. I was looking over her shoulder and asking her questions of which one was a fire hazard and the first and third lines were no brainers. The second line she was able to circle because of the steam but when I asked her what the object was that she circled she said, "A waffle maker!" Huh?!?! I immediately said, "That is an iron that you use to straighten clothes." I think she was still perplexed since we actually do NOT own an iron. My grandmothers, one who ironed jeans and underwear would be seriously disappointed. On the upside there is no chance of a fire in our house because of ironed clothes.  And that is fire safety 101 for you folks - eliminate the chance of it happening. Now I just need to figure out how to not use a pot.
