About 10 minutes after Pearson put the kids to bed, he called me upstairs to their room. I was expecting a scene from a horror movie (he had the that tone that I needed to get up there right away), instead I walked into this. (Although at the time Mae's shirt was still on).
This picture was only a matter of time. I think if it were up to Whit he would be in bed with Mae every night but we don't allow it. We throw him in the crib at night knowing that he is FINALLY contained for an extended time. Tonight Mae decided to get in bed with Whit - a first. When I asked her how she did it. She said, "I held out my hand and Whit pulled me up." I love that teamwork.
Well after two hours of them being in the crib together, still hearing talking and then calling for me, I went upstairs to tell them it was time for bed. Mae asked to get out saying that she would "sleep there tomorrow." Whit cried that she was leaving him. Despite them not falling asleep together, this whole scene made my heart melt a thousands times. I love how they would rather be together then alone.
