Bathtime

So here is the deal, I am fully aware that my kids are growing up and getting bigger. I take them to the doctor to chart their growth, I get rid of too small clothes and purchase bigger ones and I have adjusted the straps on the car seats. If you were my shadow you would hear me say EVERYDAY to Whitaker, "you are so big and heavy" - he is a lot to carry around! Despite all my utterances about how my kids are growing, I still feel that they are "little."

That is UNTIL I put them both in the bathtub at night. It is amazing to see how much more space they take up in the tub night after night. Even though I have convinced myself they are still tiny, it hits me like a ton of bricks on some nights in the bathroom that they are in fact getting bigger and bigger, despite doctors, clothing designers, and car manufactures telling me otherwise.

And then I look at these pictures of Mae (it seems I took no photos of Whitaker in the bathtub)….

And then I uploaded these photos today from Monday and I am even more convinced that time needs to slow down. Way down.

Mae asked Whitaker to scratch her back.
Always next to each other.
