Playing Catchup

Since the last time I posted a couple of weeks ago a few things have changed for us. First, we are no longer home owners in Seattle. Yep! We put our house on the market at the beginning of October and closed on October 28th. I didn't write about it since I didn't want to jinx the whole thing. It was a little sad because I felt like it meant we were closing the final chapter on our lives in Seattle. Although, I am also relieved that we don't have to manage a property 3,000 miles away.

Secondly, Pearson is now in his 4th decade of life. On November 1st, he celebrated his 40th birthday. He said he didn't want to do anything for his birthday so we kept it rather low key with lots of family time and then gathering friends to go out for drinks on the night of his birthday.

Along with those two milestones, we have also raked countless leaves, changed our clocks, carved pumpkins, roasted pumpkins seeds, decorated Halloween cookies, celebrated Halloween, celebrated Luke's 8th birthday, and celebrated Jolene's baptism.

Here are photos from the last few weeks.

Mae drew the face on the pumpkin and I carved out her creation.

40 things we love about Pearson for his 40th Birthday.

Night out!

I love every single one of those pictures! You all look fantastic… the kids are all adorable… Jo is a spitting image of her Daddy… love the coordinated pink sweaters… the mis-matched shoes… and all those kissable cheeks! Miss you ALL. xo
