Holy Cow A Whale!

This post is a day late but yesterday I saw for the FIRST time EVER a WHALE!! It was pretty cool. After going out way too late on Saturday night, Pearson and I need to clear the cobwebs and pick up his car, so we headed to Carkeek Park, which is in Northern Seattle. This is in fact the second time I have been there in a week. The park doesn't disappoint. Along with a nice playground (we have yet to even go), there is a beach on the Puget Sound that also has trains going by (it is totally safe because there is fence). Well after being there for about 45 minutes, everyone on the beach heard a noise from the water. At which point, I look up and there was a blow from a whale, then its back, then its tale. We then saw it a few more times as it went away.

After being in the PacNW for almost 7 years and two whale watching trips, I finally got to see the big majestic sea mammal. Also the kids had a blast for over 3 hours and Pearson and I were able to get our heads back together.

Mae insisted on being Doctor Mae for the better part of the morning.
Excited about the train!

The train went by (this was the first of three times)
Whit found himself a new Mom and Dad while we were there. He went and sat down next to this couple and played with them for well over 30 minutes.
And then they took pictures of him.
Whit and his new "dad."

Waving at the train.
