The Truth

Mae has been saying some real zingers recently. For instance, the other day, she said "Mom, you are the best. Daddy, you are not the best."

There you have it the truth spoken by a three year old.

On another note, Whitaker doesn't speak any truths. At 17 months Whitaker has a very limited vocabulary. Whitaker just points and grunts/screams for what he wants. Although, he does know the word up, milk, and no, he can't articulate what he wants unless he wants picked up, more milk, and or he doesn't want something or to do something. I know this is simplifying his level of speech but it is become more and more frustrating by the day. Here is to hoping that Whit discovers the truth soon.

It'll get better. It's frustrating, I know. At Pete's 12 month well-baby check up, the doctor had a certain amount of words Peter should be able to say (I can't remember how many now). Anyway, at his 18 month check up, he'd "caught up" with the new requirement. All that to say, she was going to refer him for speech services had he not met the req. That might be something to bring up during Whit's 18 month check up. Always easier to start early I think! In no time you'll be telling him to STOP talking! ;)
