Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!

Thy leaves are so unchanging.

Last night we got the 2011 Cummings Family Christmas tree and it is a beauty (or at least through the eyes of a 2 year old). It truly is amazing once you put a Christmas tree with lights into a room, it transforms the space into into a magical place.

This year was slightly different then in the past few years. How? Pearson participated. For the past few years, Pearson was anti-Christmas tree. Not bah humbug Christmas tree, just that he felt that it didn't make sense to get one if we were going away. However, with Mae's increased understanding of Christmas and wonder and excitement about everything, Pearson wanted to participate. In fact, he told me NOT to go without him.

So last night, we walked across the street to the Christmas tree lot. Mae was very excited, Whit was chill, and Pearson and I were thrilled to be picking out our family Christmas tree.
