Strawberry Picking

Today I took the kids strawberry picking. We, meaning me, picked 14.5 pounds of strawberries and got all of them for $14. It was muddy but the fields smelled of sweet, sweet strawberries and was delicious smelling.

It has been a doozy of a week and don't think I have much more energy then to post these photos tonight - don't even have the energy to caption them. Hope you can figure out what the day was like. In sum the house is still on the market and all I have been doing is cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning.

"Footprints"

We didn't do many Father's Day gifts around here on Sunday because I haven't really had my act together. Also, as I see it we are moving and don't need anything else coming in this house. Thank goodness Mae's teachers had there acts together and sent her home on her last day of school with a Father's Day gift. Above is Mae's footprint with a poem.

Last Day of School

I haven't gotten around to writing about it yet but Mae's last day of school was on Thursday. Since we are heading back to VA this summer this was her last day at The Secret Garden. I couldn't have been more in love with this school and it couldn't have been a better fit for Mae. Thank you to the wonderful teachers at The Secret Garden for a spectacular year.

Father's Day Fun

Today we celebrated Pearson by doing something we have yet to do living in Seattle. We rented a row boat for Father's Day and explored the Arboretum area by boat. It was such a great time and the kids loved it! Honestly, it was the easiest thing we have ever done with them. They sat in the boat and didn't complain for 2 and half hours. They were totally contained and happy - win/win!

If I don't say it enough, which I probably don't, Pearson is an unbelievable father. He is tender, caring, engaged, strong, loving, patient (most of the time), and adoring of our kids. Our children couldn't have gotten luckier with him and I couldn't have chosen a better man to parent alongside.

Also a big shout out to my father, who is the absolute best father and who was the role model for me deciding the man who I wanted to father my children. As I promised my dad this morning on the phone that next year we will spend Father's day together.

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dads!

Just in case if you were wondering if I was on the trip.
