And yet again, I am WAY behind on Whitaker's "Every Thursday for a Year" photo. Here are photos from week 16, 17, and 18 (I hope I didn't screw up the weeks).

Now I Know...
why I never posted anything before Mae's was 6 months old. I was thoroughly and utterly exhausted from lack of sleep. Whitatker, my baby who slept great/decent for the last three months, has all of a sudden stopped sleeping and I am barely functioning. When I say, Whitaker has stopped sleeping, he is up every 45 minutes to hour and can NOT get back to sleep without nursing or rocking for 20 minutes. It has been a rough week.
Here is for better nights ahead and my ability to get it together to post some stuff going on in our lives. We have done the unthinkable [insert gasp] and decided to do cry it out at 4 months. I didn't know what else to do. I am hoping it works and doesn't traumatize our little guy too much.

Mae goes to preschool
Today, Mae started preschool!
We "enrolled" her at the Madison Park Co-op Preschool (as you can see from the sign in the photos below). She is in the 2C's class, which meets every Monday and Wednesday from 11:30 to 1:30. A co-op functions with heavy parent involvement, which helps to keep costs down and allows you to be a part of the day to day running of the preschool. What does this mean? I will be attending school one day a week with Mae to help supervise the kids and help clean up the classroom.
Today went great and she was really excited to be there. She talked about going and wanted to actually ride a bus to school (something she knows about already). Look forward to updating you more about her progress in school, especially the times that she goes on her own.
Mae went with her new backpack (thanks Sanne Family).

More Catch Up
Woozers, do I have a lot to report. I have been meaning to hop on the computer when we got home on Tuesday night but I there hasn't seemed to be a free minute. Also, if there has been a free minute, I am too tired. I think the best thing would be to enumeriate what we have been doing and what we have on the immediate horizon.
1. We were on vacation for the last couple weeks. We flew into DC and baptized Whitaker on Saturday. BIG thank you to Julie and Matt for agreeing to be Whitaker godparents. Then we traveled to Oak Island for the annual Kogut/Sanne/Cummings/Kasztejna Beach Week. Although vacationing with 5 kids under the age of 5 isn't much of a "vacation," we had a great time.
2. Mae turned 2!!! I will have a letter to her up in the next couple of days. As for a party, we had a small celebration with the family at the beach. She thoroughly enjoyed all the festivities, cake, and gifts. My camera died on that afternoon (you would have thought I would have been more prepared) but Heather took photos and I will get them up.
3. My parents put an offer on a beach house in Oak Island. There offer was accepted (after some negotiations) and are pending home inspection.
4. Whitaker is 3 months old. He is still happy and mellow, albeit, he has started to get a little bit more opionated about what he wants to and doesn't want to do.
5. Pearson's paternity leave comes to a close tomorrow. It was great having him at home with us for the last month. I think he is ready for it to be over and as much as I would love for him to be around all day, everyday, I think it is time for him to return to work. It isn't realistic that we both be home together.
6. Mae starts preschool tomorrow. She will be attending a coop program, where I will go one day with her and one day she will be sans me.
That is all I got for right now, I am sure there is a whole lot more but can't seem to think.

Catching Up - Every Thursday for A Year (Week 13 & 14)
Since we were back East (Alexandria and Oak Island) I didn't get a chance to post the photos of Whitaker every Thursday. Here are the weeks I missed.
